About This Dog

Roman's ideal home

Meet Roman, our gorgeous 8-month old Collie x Shepherd who is looking for his forever home! Roman is looking for a home with another dog, who is able to tolerate his boisterous playstyle and show him the way of the world. Any children in the home would need to be 11yrs+ due to his excitable, bouncy nature and his typical puppy mouthing.
Roman is a lovely, funny boy who loves to meet new people and dogs alike! Roman is very Collie-esque in his mannerisms, so would suit a family that have owned the breed before and are aware of the typical traits. Roman will (try) to approach everyone he can to say hello and receive fusses, but needs to learn to be a bit more polite! He's still a baby and incredibly receptive to training (as long as there is a sausage on offer), so we are confident he will pick up new skills very quickly. Roman is a very high energy dog, and would love an active family that are able to offer him the physical and mental stimulation he needs for his breeds. He loves to get out and explore new places, but ideally somewhere a bit quieter as he can find loud traffic a bit worrying.

Could you be Roman's perfect match?

Roman would really benefit from an understanding, gentle, kind family that are able to support him through overarousal and give him breed specific outlets to be able to be his best self. He would love a quieter, calm home where he can learn that it's okay to be chilled sometimes! He loves a cwtch on the sofa with his people, and is the most loving angel boy. He shows lots of puppy behaviour, but being a bigger boy, he would love guidance with his manners from kind owners through positive association. He will be such a fun addition to the home! Roman is an angel, who has been left for 1-4 hours in the home previously, but this may need building up in his new environment. He is house-trained, but may need some reminding in a new place! He travels well in the car, so would make a fantastic adventure buddy, although, he can pull a bit on the lead which is a work in progress. Roman is a sweet angel, with bags of energy and love to give his new family. We can't wait for him to find his forever home.
