About This Dog for Adoption

Dakota's ideal home

Dakota is a very special 5 year old male German Shepherd who is looking for an equally special new home to call his own. Dakota has been through a lot in his life and came to us in a very poor condition, he has since made fantastic process but still has a little way to go, but we are hoping he may be able to continue his recovery in a forever home, with our support on foster until he is all better! Dakota would need a home where he isn't left for too long, as he does struggle with this although we have found that he does settle overnight in a home with no issues in the kitchen. Dakota would need to be the only dog in his new home but is happy seeing dogs out and about, he doesn't require much exercise initially as his poorly skin has some way to go yet and his muscle mass is slowly being built up in his legs.

Dakota loves to play with his toys, is absolutely food obsessed and is anyone's with a bit of a tasty treat and enjoys being out and about sniffing. He travels well in the car but does need a bit of convincing to get in initially as this is all new to him. Dakota is currently having medicated baths, steroids and ear treatment to help in get back into tip top shape, we will provide this whilst on foster and support with this journey for the very right home for Dakota.
