About This Dog for Adoption

Augustus's ideal home

Augustus is a beautiful but anxious boy who would love to find a quiet home where he will be given time to decompress and find his paws. He is very sweet but finds handling quite overwhelming and freezes. For this reason he’s looking for an adult-only home with no visiting children. Augustus won’t be able to live with cats and is looking for a home as the only dog for now. Again, he is mostly just worried and so with time to come out of his shell and more doggy socials this might change in the future.

Could you be Augustus's perfect match?

Augustus is around 5 years old and came into us with little known history. He’s a nervous Collie/German Shepherd cross who is looking for understanding owners who will give him all the love and patience he needs. Home life might be a bit of a novelty so things like car travel and being left home alone will need a slow and steady approach. He does really try to keep his kennel clean so housetraining shouldn’t take long. If you’re able to take things slowly and are looking for a rewarding project then Augustus just might be the one for you.
