About This Dog for Adoption

Clarinet's ideal home

Clarinet and her 3 brothers and sisters are the most adorable band of puppies! They are currently just 8 weeks old and are ready to begin their search for their forever homes. They were born here at the Centre and have been raised with their mum (Shepard) in our wonderful puppy unit. They are outgoing, affectionate, and fun-loving little puppies who will be able to live with another suitable dog in their new home as long as their initial interactions are managed by their adopter. The puppies can also live with children, although they may be best suited to a home with slightly older children as they will grow to be bigger in size! As long as everyone in the home is confident around a bouncy, nippy, playful puppy then children of any age will be considered for one of these pups. Clarinet and her siblings will need plenty of exercise, training and daily enrichment to keep their brains stimulated as they get older. An active household that will bring them on fun adventures would be amazing! A secure outdoor space and an adopter that can be at home with them for a little while while they get settled in will be very useful for their initial training and socialisation.

Could you be Clarinet's perfect match?

Clarinet, Bongo, Cello, and Viola have been a pleasure to raise here at the Centre. They are incredibly sweet and just love human company! All 4 of them will follow us around the kennel during our duties, and when its time for a cuddle or play every single one of them will try and pile on your lap. They will make wonderful companions, especially if they take after their mother's gentle nature! If you think you could be a pawfect match for one of these puppies, please submit and application and include Clarinet as a 'Favourite' dog.

German Shepherd Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the German Shepherd Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
