About This Dog for Adoption
Pumpkin's ideal home
Pumpkin can with teenagers and needs to be the only dog. Although he is friendly he requires more socialisation. He is house trained and will need someone there to keep an eye on him as he settles in.
Could you be Pumpkin's perfect match?
Pumpkin is what is technically known as a proper divvy! He's big and boisterous, an overgrown pup who doesn't know his own strength and likes to hurtle into everything. He's super friendly with people and desperate to say hello to other dogs but he really lacks the necessary social skills just now, and is VERY strong on his lead when he wants to get to someone. Pumpkin is going to need a lot of training. He had his foundation training with puppy classes but now that he is older and considerably larger, he needs to learn how to walk nicely on a lead and introduce himself politely. He is full of energy and puppy joy and just wonderful to be with, his big tongue forever hanging out of the side of his mouth! When he isn't causing chaos outside, he does enjoy relaxing in his bed and happily watches everyone else go by. We know that at home he has munched on a few soft furnishings so he'll need to have plenty more appropriate outlets for chewing on. Pumpkin loves to play and does so with enthusiasm and might request that you join him by hurling a toy in your face! We're beginning to teach him a little restraint and how to keep his paws on the floor and this will certainly have to be kept up at home. He's a lot of fun and a super boy, and in the right hands he will be the perfect dog.
