Jack

4 months

Jack's ideal home

Jack is a 9 week old German Shepherd x Collie x Lurcher, who is a typical puppy- full of fun, mischief and love! Jack is looking for a new home who is going to set him up for success to grow into a wonderful young adult by ensuring he attends training classes, is happily socialised and exposed to the big wide world and most importantly, loved! Jack is in a big puppy stage at the moment and is using his mouth a lot- we are using a lot of appropriate teething related dog toys as well as re-directed him onto toys when he is trying to mouth things he shouldn.t! This will need consistent reinforcement in his new home to ensure he understands not to do this as he grows.

Could you be Jack's perfect match?

Jack could live with other dogs in his new home or be the only dog, he LOVES to play with other dogs so any dog in his new home would need to be able to tolerate his energy and play style. He could live with younger children as long as they were careful and give him his space, he is super tiny at the moment so care would need to be given to ensure he isn't carried around all the time or accidently stood on! Jack could possibly live with cats as he is so young and small, care would be needed by his new owners to manage introductions and manage the relationship as he grows. Jack is a wonderful pup and is going to make a wonderful new addition to a loving new home!

German Shepherd Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
