Dolly's ideal home
Dolly is looking for an active, calm and predictable home with a family who want a four legged buddy that can join them on exciting outdoor adventures and fun games! She can live with confident and sensible children aged 14 years old and over who will interact nicely with her and give her space when she needs it. Dolly would be best suited as the only dog in her home and she cannot live with cats or small animals and she would benefit from calm walking friends to help build her social skills as she can be a bit worried by unknown dogs. She would also benefit from a period of time with minimal visitors to her home when she first gets adopted to she can get used to home life without too much change or pressure. She has a few basics under her belt but he is keen to learn and would benefit from adopters who will teach her lots of new things. Dolly doesn’t enjoy being left on her own and loves company so much that she has figured out how to open doors by herself, so she will need a home where she will get lots of company and be introduced to leaving times gradually once she settles in. She will likely need housetraining in her new home, so access to a private garden will be essential. Her garden should also have high fences as she can jump quite high! Dolly does have some sensitivities around close handling, so she will need patient adopters who can help build her confidence with a gentle and positive approach to help her relax. Dolly will need to meet her adopters multiple times to build a strong bond prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Dolly is a sweet and beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd who is looking for a family to show her what it means to be a loved family pet. She is a busy and active girl who is a bit independent at times and may take a little time to show her affectionate side, but we can see that it is in there just waiting to come out! She loves playing, training and being on the go, so she will suit a moderately active household that want an adventurous companion to go for long walks with! Although she will eat treats when she fancies them, the way to this girl’s heart is definitely through play and she adores tennis balls and toys that squeak! Dolly hasn’t had the best start in life and despite this she is a lovely girl who will be a fun addition to a lucky home!
