Dexter's ideal home
Say hello to Dexter! He’s a handsome 6-month-old German Shepherd who is looking for a loving family to teach him all about the world. As a young lad, Dexter needs plenty of mental and physical enrichment to keep his brain and body happy. His perfect home would have a nice garden where he can get his wriggles out and satisfy his curiosity. He can be a bit nervous around unfamiliar people and places, so his new owners will need to take things at his pace and help to build his confidence. Dexter does show some usual behaviours for a young dog such as jumping up and mouthing whilst playing, and as he’s a big boy, we think his ideal family would be with sensible teenagers and older. He would also like to be the only pet in the home, though he would definitely like some doggy friends to meet up with on walks whilst he develops his social skills. Dexter is such a gorgeous cuddlebug and he’ll bring so much joy to his forever family!

Dexter is still a young boy with lots to learn! He’s a super smart cookie who already knows a few tricks, so we think he’ll do well with housetraining and any other ongoing training too. Once he is settled in the home, he could be left by himself for 1-4 hours, though this should be built up slowly at first. When he’s in the car, Dexter can take a minute to settle down, but overall he travels well. Dexter is a super sweet boy and we can’t wait for him to find a home with all the tummy rubs and ear scritches he deserves!
