Riley's ideal home

Riley is looking for a home without dogs but she has lived with cats before and may do so again. She can live with teenagers and would prefer someone to be at home with her most of the day as she doesn't like to be by herself. Riley may need a house training refresher and a secure fence is a must as she has jumped the boundary in the past.

Riley is a gentle dog who was rather worried when she first found herself at the centre but has now formed a lovely bond with her main handlers. She just loves to be with people so they sneak her into the prep area and let her happily spend the day there whilst they go about their tasks. Riley hasn't been walked much recently so she's enjoying getting out and exploring again but is can be strong on her lead. Adopters who can manage her and are wiling to put in a little loose lead training would be perfect for her. She shows a passing interest in other dogs as she's walking and may sometimes say hello but she isn't too bothered about interacting with them. Some nice friends for walks at home would be good for her confidence in general She likes to seek reassurance from the person walking with her at times, suggesting she lacks a little confidence. Once Riley has bonded with someone she loves to sit close to them, being brushed and gently stroked and is very affectionate. We know she has been very playful with her toys in her previous home but we have yet to see it at the centre, most likely due to her not being fully relaxed., Hopefully her new family can bring out that silliness in Riley again once she's settled in at home.
