About This Dog for Adoption

Rocky's ideal home

Meet Rocky – a 10-month-old Collie Cross Shepherd with legs made for leaping, a nose made for sniffing, and a tail that never stops wagging! This young explorer is on the lookout for a fun-loving family who can keep up with his zest for life.
Rocky could live with children aged 5 and over, as long as his future family is ready for a bit of organised chaos – he is super friendly but is still learning how to keep all four paws on the ground so he might knock little ones over in his excitement! He would love a garden to charge around in, but it is not essential if you are happy to head out on plenty of adventures together.
He could live with another playful pooch if the match is right, but he is just as happy being your one and only. He is curious about cats but has not shown any signs of being over the top – polite introductions would be key.

Could you be Rocky's perfect match?

Rocky is a total joy! Housetrained, enthusiastic and super-friendly. He knows his basic cues like sit, down, and has a lovely recall already in progress. He is full of beans, and his ideal family will enjoy getting stuck into fun training sessions, outdoor adventures, and brain games to help keep him mentally and physically fulfilled. He loves toys – especially ones he can chase, rag, or show off to anyone watching!
He travels like a pro – hops in, settles down, and is ready to go wherever you are. At the vets, he was a bit of a wiggle-pup but coped brilliantly with the help of a tasty lickimat. He has been lovely with everyone he has met and adores a fuss.
Being a youngster, Rocky is still figuring out the world. He can get excitable around other dogs and when out walking, but he listens well and just needs a bit of guidance to help him channel his energy in the right direction. He can be left for short periods, although he might whimper at first before settling down for a snooze.
If you are looking for a best mate who will make you laugh daily, take you on all the best walks, and bring endless joy (and possibly the odd muddy pawprint),Rocky is your guy. He is ready to learn, ready to play, and very ready to love.

German Shepherd Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the German Shepherd Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
