Maverick's ideal home
Maverick needs a home as the only pet as he has no manners or social skills, and where any children are aged 16 and over. We have no history for him and cannot guarantee that he is house trained or used to being left alone by himself, although he is clean in his kennel.

Hurricane Maverick has hit the centre! This young lad is an unclaimed stray who almost met a sticky end but thankfully he's safe with us now. He's a confident boy, almost too confident, and tends to leap before he looks. He's super friendly but has no idea how to say hello politely, to people or other dogs and he is certainly going to require some training. Mav is always keen to get out for a walk and his adopters will need to be sure they are capable of managing his strength. When he's passing other dogs, Maverick generally show little interest but if they're close enough then he will want to go over and say hello. He enjoys their company and has been great with all breeds and sizes but he has no idea how to interact appropriately, and his enthusiasm doesn't always go down well. We're trying to encourage more calm behaviours from him and his family will need to keep this up at home, but we don't think it would be fair to put him in a home with another dog at present. Maverick is a fantastic lad with so much potential, he just needs the right family that are going to put the work in with him to help him flourish.
