Xander's ideal home

Xander can live with secondary‑school‑age children or older. While he’s friendly when meeting other dogs, he would benefit from ongoing socialisation and is best placed as the only dog in the home. He cannot live with cats but could live alongside small pets if they are safely separated. Xander should be given the opportunity to gradually build up his time alone, and as a strong boy, he will need adopters who are confident handling a larger dog. He’ll thrive with a family who can offer him structure, patience, and plenty of love.

Xander is an 8‑year‑old Akita x German Shepherd with a wonderfully sweet nature and a big love for life. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and is very comfortable with handling, making him an easy and affectionate companion. Xander enjoys exploring on his walks and is always eager for an adventure, happily hopping straight into the car whenever it’s time to go out. He’s sociable with other dogs, enjoys saying hello, and is highly motivated by his favourite things—food and squeaky toys! Xander is looking for a loving home where he can share his gentle character, playful side, and loyal companionship.
