Zara's ideal home
Meet beautiful Zara who is a 7 year old German Shepherd. She's ready to find her paw-fect forever home where she can enjoy all the comforts a home has to offer. Zara is housetrained and happy to be left for an hour or so however we recommend this is gradually built back up as she settles into her forever home. Zara is a lovely girl who is happy to greet everyone out on her walkies. She is currently living with younger children however she can get a little overwhelmed at times so we think sensible children of 12+ would be best. Zara would like a home as the only pet and where she can enjoy her walkies in the peace and quiet. She loves to play fetch and would love a garden of her own to play and explore in! Zara is a clever girlie and is happy to show of her tricks for a treat or two! She'll show off her "sit", "paw" and "down" to anyone in exchange for a snack!

Zara is a lovely girlie and will make a wonderful companion. She loves fuss, attention and living a life of comfort! This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
