Zuri's ideal home

Zuri is a gentle-hearted, 1.5-year-old German Shepherd who’s searching for a peaceful home where she can blossom as she grows in confidence. Zuri is still learning about the big wide world around her, so her perfect match would be with patient adopters who can offer her plenty of love, while being willing to continue with her ongoing training plans. She’ll need continued support around her reactivity to other dogs when out and about, but our Training Team are ready to provide full guidance and ongoing support to help her and her new family build positive experiences together. Zuri must be the only pet at home, but she could live with calm and sensible secondary-school-aged children, who could learn about her body language. Because she’s sensitive to noise and easily startled, Zuri would feel most comfortable in a quieter, more rural or suburban setting and will need a private garden of her own to stretch her legs. Her adopters will need to gradually help her get used to spending short periods alone, so a multi-carer household is essential.

Zuri herself is an absolute sweetheart with a calm and inquisitive soul. Once she gets to know you, she’s wonderfully affectionate—happily curling up for snuggles on the sofa and seeking out your company. She takes her time in new environments, always alert and observant, but once she’s relaxed loves to explore, especially with her nose! She’d love an active family who share her passion for the outdoors and walks in the quiet countryside, as well as people who can keep her busy with fun training and mentally stimulating enrichment activities. With time and trust, Zuri will become a deeply loyal and loving companion who looks to you for comfort and reassurance.
