About This Dog

Bear's ideal home

Bear is looking for a home as an only dog as he is currently a little intense around other dogs and needs to work on improving his dog skills. His new home will need to have a private garden so that he has a safe offlead area to potter around and sunbathe. Resident and visiting children must be aged eight or over, due to Bear size and medical needs. Once settled into his new home, Bear could be left for up to four hours if this time was built up slowly. Bear has some medical needs, which could lead to additional costs. We will discuss this further if your application is shortlisted. To accommodate his medical needs, he will need few shorter walks, rather than one long one, to help with his joint pain and weight loss.

Could you be Bear's perfect match?

Bear is a seven-year-old German Shepherd Dog who came into our care after his owner could no longer look after him. He has arrived at our doors carrying a little extra, so will need to continue to lose this weight in his new home. His energy levels are recovering, and his personality is starting to shine through. Bear loves a tennis ball and to potter along with his handlers. He enjoys walking with other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Bear would love a family where he can be involved in things. He is quite nosey. Underneath all that fur (and fat), Bear is the sweetest dog who has a lot of love to give his new family.
