About This Dog

Lucky's ideal home

Lucky is looking for a home that can match his energy, he would thrive with an active owner who can provide a couple of hours of physical and mental stimulation each day, helping him stay happy, healthy, and well-balanced. Access to countryside walks nearby would be ideal, giving him plenty of opportunities to explore, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.

Lucky could happily live with secondary school-aged children who are confident and used to being around bouncy dogs, making him a great addition to an active family environment. He could also live with another dogs, pending successful meets at the centre, but he is not suitable to live with other types of pets. With time, patience, and gradual training, he can also learn to be left alone for up to four hours, making him suitable for households with a consistent routine.

If you enjoy an active lifestyle and are looking for a loyal companion to join you on your daily adventures, Lucky could be the perfect match.

Could you be Lucky's perfect match?

Lucky is a young, 4-month-old German Shepherd cross Kelpie who is searching for his forever home. As a bright and active pup, he would ideally suit adopters with previous experience of shepherd-type breeds who understand their needs and can guide him as he grows.

He is still learning about the world and will need owners who are committed to continuing his positive training. This includes helping him build confidence on walks, as well as working on his ability to settle and manage his excitement, such as jumping up.

Lucky can currently feel uneasy when travelling in the car and may experience some car sickness, so having access to local walking areas will help him get the exercise he needs while gradually building up his confidence with car journeys over time. A patient and understanding approach will help him develop into a well-rounded companion.

If you’re ready to invest time, training, and care into a young, energetic dog, Lucky could be a rewarding addition to your home.
