About This Dog for Adoption
Leo's ideal home
Leo is a very happy, bouncy 6 month old pup looking for a home to call his own. He came into us through no fault of his own and is currently enjoying life with one of our wonderful foster families. He would love a home where he can be the only dog, but would like canine friends outside of the home, whom he can learn from, and enjoy walks and playtime with. He would like his own secure garden, but could also share a communal outside space, as long as he had regular access to outdoors, and plenty of long sniffy walks and adventures to run off some of his energy. He could live with children aged 7+ who are used to being around large, bouncy dogs - he is learning not to jump up when he says hello to people, and can also get a little mouthy when excited, so being a big puppy still, he will need to live with children who are not worried by his exhuberance whilst he's still growing and learning. He needs all his basic training continued, and is doing well with house-training and some basic commands, but this will need to be continued in his forever home. He loves his food and treats, so will be fun to teach, and being the clever boy he is, it won't take him long to learn all he needs to know. He's not used to being left for long but as he grows and settles, he could be built up to being alone in the home for 1 or 2 hours. Leo enjoys a trip out in the car, and travels well so he'd love to accompany you on days out, where he can explore and have lots of new adventures.
Could you be Leo's perfect match?
Leo is very affectionate and whilst he loves a game of tug with his toys, or chasing his ball around, he also loves to snuggle up next to you on the sofa and get lots of fuss. He hasnt had much contact with other dogs yet, as he still hasnt had all of his puppy vaccinations, but he gets very excited when he sees other dogs and wants to go over and play, so he would benefit with some contact with friendly dogs once he's settled into his forever home. He will need a fair amount of excercise once fully grown so would love adopters who are keen on walks and being out and about, and also who are happy to continue with all his basic training. Could you offer lovely Leo his forever home? Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.
