About This Dog for Adoption

Roxy's ideal home

Roxy is a confident, affectionate young girl who absolutely adores people. She loves meeting new faces and isn’t shy about showing her affection – in fact, this big, gentle giant is convinced she’s a lap dog! Because she doesn’t always realise her size and can be excitable in her greetings, she’s best suited to a home with children aged 14+ who are comfortable around larger, bouncy dogs. Roxy has a medium energy level and enjoys her walks, playing with her doggy friends, and being part of the action. She’s happy walking on lead and can live with another dog pending a successful mix at the centre; her ideal companion would be a dog with a similar energy and play style (any male companion would need to be neutered). She could also thrive as the only dog in the home. Roxy cannot live with cats or small furries. She can be left for short periods, building up gradually, and is currently in foster care where she is housetrained and happy to settle on her own bed—though she’d much rather choose your lap if given the option!

Could you be Roxy's perfect match?

If you’re looking for a loving, people-focused companion who will greet you with enthusiasm every single day, Roxy could be your perfect match. She would suit an active home that can continue her positive training, provide regular exercise, and give her plenty of companionship and affection. Roxy will need ongoing guidance to help her channel her excitement appropriately and to continue building her confidence when home alone. In return, you’ll gain a loyal best friend who thrives on human connection, enjoys playful adventures, and brings a wonderful mix of fun, affection, and gentle giant cuddles to everyday life.
