About This Dog for Adoption
Rex GSD's ideal home
Meet our gorgeous Rex, a 1-year old German Shepherd boy looking for his forever home! Rex loves dogs, but can be very excitable towards them so we think he'd be best as the only dog, however, he would love doggy friends out and about to keep up his dog social. Rex would be suitable for a home with children 11yrs+ as he is bouncy and boisterous. Rex is the biggest, cuddliest ball of fun! He loves people but is unaware of his size! He can jump up and he is a big boy, so he will need a bit of work on this!
Rex is the best of both worlds - he loves to laze around and take up the whole sofa for a snuggle, but also loves to get out and about for fun adventures! He's a very typical, vocal shepherd and is a very high energy lad. He will need an active home that is able to enrich his life mentally and physically. He is a clever boy and any training will be incredibly easy to reinforce as he loves toys!
He travels really well in the car, and is also fully housetrained. Being a young boy, he will still need some basic skills reinforcing and some training ongoing. He is such a big lad with a big personality, and we can't wait to see him thriving!
Could you be Rex GSD's perfect match?
Rex is a gorgeous lad who just loves a cwtch and a cuddle with his people (although he may bowl you over with his size!). He does pull on lead, so will need a competent adopter who is happy to work on this with him.
He is dog social, but can be frustrated on lead so will need consistent socialisation and training in this area. He'll be so much fun for shepherd people! He has been left alone for 4 hrs in the home previously, so there is scope for this again in his new home once built up over time. He loves exploring new environments and would LOVE to get out for long walks and adventures with his people.
He has shown some behaviours in the centre such as tail chasing when he is stressed/overwhelmed, so a family that is able to keep him stimulated mentally and physically would be essential.
We can't wait to see gorgeous boy Rex living his best shepherd life!!
