Lucy's ideal home

Lucy is on the search for her forever home with adopters who will be happy to carry on her training and help her settle into home life. Due to Lucy's unsettled start in life, she requires a specific home with adopters who have the time to continue her basic training, socialisation, and exposure to life. She can be worried by new experiences, so it will take Lucy some time to adjust and feel more comfortable, but once she has built a relationship with you, she is very loving. Lucy would like her adopters to be home for most of the time and give her plenty of time to settle into her new environment before introducing her to the outside world. Her leaving hours can be built up slowly to 2-4 hours, but kept to a minimum whilst she is still settling and growing her confidence. Lucy is looking for a quiet home away from busy roads or populated areas. She will need a private and secure garden that she can enjoy. She could live with children 15+ who can understand when she is uncomfortable and give her space when needed. She is looking for adopters who are enthusiastic about positive reinforcement training methods and using rewards for good behaviour.

Lucy is extremely intelligent and picks up training quickly. She loves to play with a tennis ball and likes to take a soft toy to her bed to rest her head on. She loves nothing more than having cuddles with her handlers. Lucy is very clever and has learnt sit in her first week here and is learning her name. She loves enrichment activities such as free work and find it games that encourage her use her brain and nose to find food! If you are looking for a dog that requires ongoing training, is very intelligent and loving, Lucy could be your paw-fect match!
