About This Dog for Adoption

Hedgehog's ideal home

Say hello to gorgeous boy, Hedgehog! He is a 5-month old German Shepherd puppy looking for a loving family that can help him become the confident, loving little man we know he is. Hedgehog is the sweetest little pup, loving cuddles and fuss from his besties.
Being a GSD, he is going to grow to be a BIG boy, and will need lots of mental and physical stimulation to keep him busy and occupied. He has bundles of energy, and loves to burn it off by playing with his people and other dogs. For this reason, he would be able to be rehomed with another dog that is able to cope with his boisterous, puppy behaviour. Any children in the home will need to be 11yrs+.
Hedgehog is under-socialised and will need ongoing training to help with his confidence in a few areas, so will be best suited to adopters that are able to put in a significant amount of time to training. He is a super foodie boy, and can be a bit snatchy so we are working on this with him. He has been underfed, so he is quite food-obsessed. Any mealtimes with other dogs would ideally be managed.
He is a playful little man, and can get a bit mouthy when over-excited!
Hedgehog can be a bit worried in new environments and with new people initially, so a understanding family who are gentle and able to let him come round at his own pace would be perfect. He will be such a fun addition to the family, and he cannot wait to join his new people for lots of fun, sniffy adventures to keep his brain busy!

Could you be Hedgehog's perfect match?

Hedgehog is a sweet angel, who is going to be an incredibly active breed so would ideally have adopters that understand the breed and their traits, as well as the ability to keep him enriched mentally and physically.
He has not been left on his own before, so he would need a home that are with him for most of the time while he settles in. Someone that is happy to build up his time alone would be ideal.
Hedgehog loves playing with his toys and with his pal, Pipi! He would benefit from a confident, social, resident dog that is able to teach him some ropes in his new home. Hedgehog is still a baby, so he has a lot to learn and lots of confidence yet to build.
He is such a sweet boy, who really does deserve the absolute best! We can't wait to see him cuddled up on his forever sofa.
