About This Dog for Adoption

Atlas's ideal home

Atlas is ready to bring joy and energy to the right home! He would thrive in a moderate to active household where he can enjoy plenty of playtime, walks, and mental stimulation.

Atlas may take a little time to get comfortable in new environments or with new people, but he warms up quickly with reassurance and positive interactions. Because of this, we recommend homes with secondary school-aged children, though younger dog-savvy children could be a great match after successful introductions.

A private garden would be perfect for Atlas to explore and play. While he’s settling in, a calm environment with minimal visitors will help him feel secure and confident.

Atlas responds beautifully to treats, toys, and gentle encouragement, so his new family should be happy to continue building his confidence.

He’s shown fantastic social skills with other dogs—both on-lead and in foster care—and could live with another energetic dog or have regular walking buddies.

Could you be Atlas's perfect match?

Meet Atlas – a stunning 11-month-old German Shepherd Crossbreed with a heart full of love and energy!

Atlas is an affectionate, playful boy who adores fuss, toys, and enrichment activities. He’s a social pup who enjoys the company of other dogs and loves being part of an active, engaging environment.

While Atlas can be a little cautious at first in new places or with new people, he quickly blossoms with reassurance, tasty treats, and fun playtime. His gentle nature and eagerness to bond make him a wonderful companion for a family ready to give him the confidence he needs.

Atlas has already shown great progress in foster care, meeting several dogs and behaving beautifully. He’s been described as “good” when left alone for short periods and has successfully shared space with another dog.

He’s also a fan of car rides—jumping in with excitement, settling calmly during the journey, and hopping out like a pro!

For his comfort, leaving hours should start at 2–3 hours and be built up gradually once he’s settled. With patience and love, Atlas will thrive and become an incredible addition to your home.
