Zara's ideal home

Zara can live with children of high school age and although she is friendly with other dogs we don't believe she is quite ready to live with one just yet. We have limited history for her as she was a stray. being house trained is not a guarantee and she may not be used to spending time at home alone.

Could you be Zara's perfect match?

Zara has settled into life at the centre very quickly and has made great progress. She's a strong but calm dog who walks nicely on her lead and likes to explore but can be a little hesitant about indoor spaces initially. Zara likes to get reassurance from her handlers and is friendly with people in general if they give her time for an introductory sniff. When she's comfortable with you, Zara is very affectionate and enjoys being loved in return. She enjoys the company of other dogs and potters happily alongside them but if they attempt to play she becomes a little unsure. In time she should build her confidence around others but for now she would probably feel most secure as an only dog whilst she gets to grips with so many new things in her life. Zara doesn't show much interest in toys but it's possible she's not familiar with play. Hopefully this is something else that will come in time as she settles in to family life.
