Ernie is a lively, 5-month-old pup who absolutely loves meeting new people and is always excited to make new friends. He’s a bit bouncy and full of energy, with a heart as big as his personality. However, when it comes to meeting other dogs, Ernie can be a little worried and vocal, as he’s still under-socialised. He won’t be ready to share his home with another dog right now, but calm, confident walking buddies will help him gain some much-needed confidence. He may also cope with cats, though we don’t have any history about how he might be with them. Ernie can live with teenagers who are comfortable with his energetic, sometimes snatchy playstyle, especially around treats, but he adores a good cuddle.

Ernie is looking for a home with someone who is experienced, patient, and confident enough to guide him through his early socialisation and confidence-building. He’s still young and high-energy, and he cannot be left alone at the moment as he seeks reassurance from his human friends, especially in new environments. He’s gradually becoming braver each day but will need someone dedicated to helping him thrive. A secure garden with high fences is essential, as Ernie loves to climb and jump, especially when there’s agility equipment around! If you’re ready to start from scratch and give Ernie the structure, love, and patience he needs, he’s sure to grow into a loyal and affectionate companion.
