About This Dog for Adoption

Hilton's ideal home

Hilton is on the search for a loving and patient family who can help him settle into home life and learn about the World. Hilton would like to be the only dog in the home for now but could have the potential to live with another once he has been more socialised. He would be best suited to live with teenagers who are comfortable around big bouncy dogs. Once settled into his home, Hilton could be left for 4 hours (if this is built up slowly). Hilton will need a private and secure garden that he can enjoy with his family. He does have some medical considerations that will be discussed with our vet team upon a booking.

Could you be Hilton's perfect match?

Handsome Hilton has a bad start to life and is looking for a patient family who can give him all the love in the World. He loves meeting new people out on his walks, saying a quick hello before getting his nose to the ground to explore. He hasn’t quite found the joy in toys yet, but we are hoping he does in his forever home! Hilton adores his food and loves a easy level enrichment activity at mealtimes. He is a curious boy who has lots to learn about the World. With a family who can build his confidence and show him lots of love, in return he will give you the best snuggles and companionship.

German Shepherd Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the German Shepherd Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
