Georgia's ideal home
Georgia is a striking young German Shepherd with a big heart and a strong, independent spirit. While she may be a little shy and reserved at first, give her time and patience and you’ll discover a loyal companion with so much love to give. Originally found as a stray, Georgia is aged approximately two years old and is still learning about the world. We feel she would thrive in a calm home with experienced owners who can support her confidence and build her skills through positive, reward-based training. Due to her sensitive nature and a lack of information on her background, Georgia needs a home where the youngest members of the family are in their later teens. Georgia finds other dogs overwhelming and can be reactive when she sees them, so she’s currently receiving support at the centre to help with this. She needs a home without any other pets and requires ongoing training. Georgia can be strong on the lead and nervous around busy traffic, so she’d prefer quiet walks and will benefit from loose-lead training. A garden of her own is essential.

Once you’ve earnt her trust, you’ll have gained a lifelong best friend who will enjoy every second by your side and show off her true affectionate and playful nature. She adores a game with her toys, especially playing fetch with the soft and squeaky kind! Food is also a big love of hers and she will require a quieter area of the house to eat her meals. Being a super smart lady, she is very fond of her training and already knows some basic commands like “sit” and “down”. Adopters who have a keen interest in teaching her new skills would be perfect.
