About This Dog for Adoption

Rocky's ideal home

Rocky is now ready to find his forever home. He can live with children aged 14+ who are used to big bouncy dogs who are strong on the lead. Sometimes Rocky wants his personal space and this will need to be respected; Rocky is under socialised with other dogs so must be the only dog in the home as he displays reactive behaviour to dogs when he is out and about. Due to this he will need to be muzzled and on lead in public, however he would benefit from ongoing dog socialisation to improve his skills and work on his frustrations .Our Training and behaviour team will be on hand to give his new family guidance in these areas and help settle him in with home visits A secure garden would be beneficial to channel his energy. Experience with reactive shepherds and some knowledge of the breed would be an advantage.

Could you be Rocky's perfect match?

Rocky is a 3 year old German Shepherd who came to us with not much previous history. Leaving hours will need to be built up over time whilst he settles in his new home. He is housetrained (but the odd accident is to be expected in his new home). We have no previous history of how he is around a car so may need some patience with his confidence building. He loves his treats which will work as a great tool for all his training. Rocky loves human company and enjoys a cuddle on his own terms. This stunning lad has lots of love to give his new family.
