Rocko's ideal home

Meet lovely Rocko; a two-year-old Malinois X Akita. Rocko is searching for an adult only forever home where he can enjoy the comforts of home life. Ideally, owners will have previous experience/are willing to learn about the Malinois and Akita breeds. Rocko likes lots of mental stimulation and likes to engage in enrichment activities to challenge his brain, so owners who want to get stuck into this is a must. He can find meeting new people challenging and therefore potential adopters will need to be willing to visit the centre multiple times to build a bond. Additionally, his forever home will need to be quieter household with minimal visitors. Although Rocko would like to be the only dog in the home, he is happy to have specific walking friends out on his adventures. Rocko could live with birds and small furries if kept in a separate room. Rocko is a super clever boy who can find it challenging to express his thoughts so a family with the time and patience to help flourish in his forever home is a must.

Rocko is a super affectionate boy who just takes a little bit of time to open up to new people. He loves to zoom around in off lead areas and is always keen to show off his tricks when you have a bond with him. Rocko is good at showing you when he wants fuss, rubbing up to your legs like a cat. He is a toy enthusiast and will chase after balls and paly raggy with different rope toys. Although in the home environment Rocko prefers to be the only pet, he does enjoy walks and fun with doggy friends he has made at the centre. He can often be found out on adventures with his best friend, Patch (greyhound). Rocko is a wonderful boy who needs loving owners to build his confidence and take the time to see his full potential.
