I’m Dexter, I’m a working line German Shepherd

Since i was thirteen weeks Ive lived with the Mum and two boys seventeen and eighteen.

I get lots of love from my current family, I go out twice a day for walks, I have the Mum wrapped around my little paws, I only need to look at the treat cupboard and she crumbles;
She likes to hide treats for me.

The boys are brilliant! I know how to get the best from each of them.
I’m always coming back from walks needing a hose/towel.

Why im looking for a new home
I just don’t think what I am getting is enough for me.
I need to be challenged more, its not much fun nowadays as the boys are working 10hr days, 6 days/wk.
One of the boys is always at home, its like they are a tag team (days and nights).

A little about me
I’m intelligent / focused / driven; I’m desperate to learn more, Sometimes I cant wait to learn that I try to get ahead before I have learnt what I’m supposed to be learning. You’ll need lots of patience with me when your telling me to slow down.

I pull on a lead fhalf the time, i try not to but like I said before sometimes I just cant wait to get ahead.
Im great with other dogs when I am OFF THE LEAD, but not very good when I am on the lead, for some reason I am reactive on a lead and like to jump around and make noises when I see other dogs.

I am a very strong character and need someone who can exceed my level of focus and drive, I am so willing to learn and react very well to patience and treats, I want to feel like I am being led, I want to put my trust into my new owner.
I do need space, my new home must have a garden as I love being outside watching the birds, I would, if I could, catch them pesky birds!

All I ask is you read up on my breed before you commit to making any decision about taking me on board.
I know the Mum and two boys wont just let me go anywhere, they need to make sure that where I go is my forever home and you fully understand what you are taking on.
