Hi, My name is Dexter. I am a very well-behaved German Shepherd boy, 2 years old. I am looking for a new home because my current owners are struggling to give me the exercise I need. I love nothing more than long walks, playing fetch with a ball or stick. I ALWAYS come when called. When I meet other dogs I can be a little worried, but give me a few minutes to get to know them and I will play with them all day long. I am a family dog at heart, I currently live with three young children who absolutely love me an a an older spaniel who I love. Please don’t leave me on my own for too long as a German Shepherd I really like to know where all of my family are. I walk really nicely on my lead and try my best not to pull ( sometimes I forget, but just remind me and I’m right back next to you ).
A little note from my current owners:
He really is a super dog, it’s going to be incredibly difficult to let him go, but we have to do what is best for him and unfortunately, it’s just not the right place for him anymore. Please only call if you’re serious and have some land. He currently lives very remotely so please on call if you live remotely too or have some land that is dog-proof.

German Shepherd Buying Checklist
We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.
- View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
- If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
- Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
- By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
Avoid Potential Scams
There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:
- Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
- Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
- Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
- Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
- Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
