About This Dog for Adoption

Deki's ideal home

Deki is a big boy who is a bit of a sensitive soul. He isn't a big fan of handling and much prefers to have his own space, so his new family will need to be understanding of this. Deki is learning how to wear a muzzle for when he sees the vet and when he needs a groom to keep him looking his best! He would like to be the only pet in his forever home, however he can share his walks with calm walking buddies to help him work on his social skills. Deki can live with adults only and his adopters will need to be willing to get involved in all his ongoing training here at the centre, but his trainers will be happy to tell you all about what he's learning! Deki has been in a home previously and was housetrained, which has continued whilst he's been in our care. He is happy to be left for a couple of hours as long as he has a comfy bed to snooze on, but this should be built up gradually once he's settled back into home life.

Could you be Deki's perfect match?

Deki is on the larger side, so he is on a special diet and weight loss program to help him get back in tip-top shape! His new owners should be aware that he can occasionally be a little stiff on his legs however this could be impacted by his weight.
