About This Dog for Adoption

Skye's ideal home

Skye is a funny, friendly girl who would love to find a quiet home. She can be shy when it comes to meeting new people so is looking for an adult-only home with few visitors. Her intros to new faces are as simple as a quick walk together and then her amazing personality starts to shine through. She doesn’t really like other dogs but is good out and about and walks well on lead. All she asks is to not have interactions with other dogs and to be the only pet in the home. Skye will need a secure garden where she can have off-lead play and relaxing sniffs. Skye is on medication to help with some pain from a historic injury, but if this is the only barrier to you considering her please do let us know so we can discuss this with you.

Skye is a German Shepherd cross who is 9 years old and makes us laugh every day. She is currently in a foster home and showing us what we always knew; she is an amazing older lady, a real love bug and a bit of a couch potato! Play is also an option though, she loves to chase a ball or play tuggie as long as her favourite humans are sharing the moment with her. Skye is happy being left for a few hours at a time and settles nicely. She is currently working really hard to get more comfortable around the car and now happily jumps in the boot and spends time there. She’s fine during journeys too. Skye is super clever; she’s remained housetrained through her stay with us and knows lots of tricks already including ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘paw’, and ‘wait’. We think she’s a princess and we can’t wait to find her perfect match.
